Ted's SCUBA Site

Ted This site is a collection of photogtaphs and supporting anecdotes of my various diving activities and adventures. I had always wanted to dive since the days of watching Lloyd Bridges in Sea Hunt, showing my age! (I also wanted to be a whirlybird pilot, but I never followed that one up!) I completed my OW certification in 1999 off Tioman Island in Malaysia. After a very short time it became clear to me I had to have a record of what I saw. At the earliest opportunity I enrolled on a PADI Underwater Photographer Speciality course. Next I bought myself a camera, enclosure and strobe and off I went on my next dive trip.

I managed to get some nice pictures, well I like them! Then friends and family asked if I was going to put the pictures together in a book, they must have liked them too or maybe they were just being kind! I did think this a bit bold but a web site might be a possibility and so this site came into existance.

Early Autumn 2005 my enclosure cracked and flooded, so I lost the camera, no insurance arghhhh! As a result I switched to video for a while. (I have just got a bigger site and will get the videos up when I get a moment). However I just went on a trip to Marsa Alam and bought a small fun camera so the stills now continue!

I hope that the stories and photographs stimulate some interest in the underwater world, remember our planets surface is mostly water, its where most of the life on this planet is and where the greatest percentage of our oxygen comes from.

Diving is a choice everyone makes for themselves and I have enjoyed every dive I have made regardless of conditions, location or company human or otherwise. People ask me where my favourite dive was but I must confess that I never have an answer, except that I love them all, but for different reasons.
